We are
The Literary League
The Literary League is an in-person and digital book club, with chapters from Washington to Maine (Canada, too!), all connected by readers and their love of books. Each month a new book is selected, and we read it together, whether you’re tuning into to our digital discussions on Instagram Live or with your own city’s chapter.
The Literary League was founded on the belief that books bring people together. So, here we are. A community of readers who connect over books and beyond.
Our monthly selections fall into at least two of the following:
Books written by BIPOC authors
Books written by women authors
Newly released titles

I've moved over 20 times - from Connecticut to Texas, and Boston to Atlanta. And, throughout each transition and move, books have always been by my side. I started my journey to becoming an avid reader as a child. My mom would bring me to the library to explore the treasures it held, and I've had a book in hand ever since.
Now, it's not such a solitary hobby thanks to #bookstagram and this community right here.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, I attended design school at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities College of Design. By day I design learning material for a healthcare analytics company, and after work you can usually find me buried in a book. I’ll read just about anything, but I love using my platform to share both LGBTQ+ authors and stories. My favorite books to recommend are Red, White, & Royal Blue, The House in the Cerulean Sea, Cemetery Boys, and The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet.

I was born and raised in Atlanta where I live now with my childhood dog. My favorite city is Miami, where I went to college and got a degree in Environmental Policy and Science. When I’m not reading, I’m usually hunting for concert tickets, watching true crime documentaries, or browsing a bookstore for my next read. My favorite books to recommend are Middlegame by Seanan McGuire, The Mothers by Brit Bennett, and anything by Toni Morrison.

I am born and raised in Wisconsin, and currently live
there with my boyfriend (and hopefully a dog or two in the future). I graduated college with a degree in English Literature and currently work full time for my family’s business. In middle school I discovered the YA section at my local Barnes & Noble and have been a bookworm ever since. When not reading I’m usually brushing up on my photography skills, going for long walks or jogs around my neighborhood, or spending time with close friends and family.

I grew up in a small town in Connecticut, spent my college years and 20s in Boston (I’ll always be a New England girl at heart), then moved to New York City in 2018 with Dean, my husband, and Quincy, our tabby cat. Beyond photography, I am an avid reader, love long bike rides, prefer the Monday crosswords to the Sunday ones, enjoy woodsy day hikes in the fall, and am always finding the nearest bookstore when we travel.

I am originally from New Jersey and graduated from Hamilton College with a degree in Classical Languages and Art History. I currently live in Maine with my partner and our pets. We’re in the midst of working on our little New England home, originally built in 1850! I love taking walks around our campus town and being able to travel so easily to other parts of the east coast as well as Europe! I love lending out books to my friends around town (it’s a great way to trick yourself into thinking you’re bookshelf isn’t quite full enough!) and host our Portland, Maine chapter!

I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but currently live in New York City. I am an avid reader with a penchant for DIY projects who will pet every and any dog that crosses my path. When I'm not working with booksellers and influencers for my day job at a major publishing company, I can be found exploring city and beyond with friends, catching the latest movies at the theater, and taking photos for my bookstagram account.

I was born in a small town in Texas to Jamaican parents. I fell in love with reading early in life when the local library was the coolest spot in town. I now roam the world with my husband who is an Airman, my little one, and our two bunnies, Lewis and Stella. When I am not reading, I am working towards my license in professional counseling, writing, editing, or trying out a new recipe. My favorite authors of all time are C. S. Lewis (Yes, our bunny is named after him!) and Toni Morrison.
